Statistical Process Control

Once we produce a casting to your exacting specification, we want to repeat the process over and over again, exactly the same way. So we document the casting process each step of the way, assuring you of consistent quality from order to order.

SPC begins with our suppliers. The process starts with strict control of the raw materials. We take no chances with raw material quality.

During production, sand temperature and binder percentages are computer controlled and recorded. The core assemble is often videotaped. Photos are taken. Gate and riser size and location are recorded. Pouring time and temperatures are documented. And daily samples are taken for metal verification including chemistry, tensile strength, hardness, and microstructure analysis.

Once the casting is complete, we verify it's dimensional accuracy with digital measuring equipment on our 12' x 12' layout table.

Bar Coding

All necessary data can be transferred to bar code for easy identification when the castings arrive at your plant.

State-of-the-Art Tech Center

Our recently expanded Tech Center allows us to monitor and adjust our casting processes to assure consistently high quality castings. Here we test for:

There is no substitute for highly trained, experienced employees. However, state-of-the-art computerized solidification models allow us to analyze variable and simulate the engineering and processing required to produce highly complex castings.
